JNC International Ltd - PPP Impact on Healthcare

Evidence supports Public Private Partnerships (PPP) as a strategy to improving healthcare infrastructure and operations. PPPs involve long term collaboration between the public institutions and private sector participants and are characterized by the sharing of risks, responsibilities and rewards between partners.

JNC International is involved in PPP arrangements with four tertiary medical institutions providing a win-win situation with the public sector players as well as the general population. The medical institutions develop the technical capabilities of their medical team and attract citizens from all income levels due to the provision of quality healthcare services while JNCI share the financial and operational burdens of the medical equipment. The objective is to provide a guaranteed revenue streams due to the higher patient traffic associated with public sector facilities as well as an increased ability to attract more patients with higher purchase power. The citizens benefit from the ability to access care without compromising the standards they aspire to have or are used to in foreign hospitals.

The tertiary medical institutions that are currently in partnership with JNCI are

  • Aminu Kano University Teaching Hospital, Kano
  • University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (UATH), Abuja
  • University College Hospital, Ibadan
  • Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, Lagos
